In this performance for the camera, Finn-Kelcey stages the collision of a flimsy
bubble and a boxing-glove-padded fist. While the glove suggests a punch, which the
bubble couldn’t survive, the camera records the meeting point of the two elements,
sustaining the action with no popping resolution. While there is a slapstick jeopardy
in this scenario, these images might suggest other interpretations, such as the
boxing glove as a protective device acting to preserve the delicate bubble.
