Helen Cammock is part of Time for Women! Empowering Visions in the 20 Years of the Max Mara Art Prize for Women, at Palazzo Strozzi, Florence.
This group exhibition presented by Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi and Collezione Maramotti celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Max Mara Art Prize for Women, one of the most significant awards dedicated to supporting female-identifying artists, created as a collaboration between Max Mara, Whitechapel Gallery, and Collezione Maramotti.
In 2017, Helen Cammock was the recipient of the award, spending her six month residency in six Italian cities. The resulting work––Che Si Può Fare––interweaves women’s stories of loss and resilience with seventeenth-century Baroque music by female composers, exploring the concept of lament in women’s lives across histories and geographies.
